Mentoring
How it Works
Mentors provide social-emotional and/or academic assistance to children in elementary and middle school by engaging in activities, such as reading, helping with homework/tutoring, or hanging out together.
Meetings will generally be 30-45 minutes long and will be held at least twice a month through online communication platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Specific dates, times, etc. will be decided between the two parties.
Mentors, who will receive external volunteer hours for the time spent with each mentee, will be given a community service log, which is to be signed by each student’s parent/guardian.
