Big & Little

Big & Little is a youth mentoring and tutoring program designed to empower children in elementary and middle school, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to reach their full potential.

Studies show that youth thrive with support from steady, positive influences in life. Children with role models are more likely to improve their mental and emotional well-being, social relationships, and academic performance. Furthermore, students who are successful in school are less likely to engage in problematic behaviors like drug abuse or crime.

As a volunteer-supported mentoring and tutoring network, Big & Little connects children in need with mentors and/or tutors to create long-term, one-to-one friendships. Mentors/tutors and students meet via Zoom or Skype two or more times a month, engaging in activities (such as helping with homework, listening to music, and reading) that inspire confidence, growth, and brighter futures.

Together with parents/guardians and our volunteers, we help youth navigate challenges in life and encourage them to achieve their life goals and milestones.
